Everything began in the back of a women’s clothing store where two sisters offered to the clients to create their own salad. "Nothing a Mandy’s salade can’t fix !" And if you haven’t try one of their salads, don’t hesitate no more, there is surely a salad you will enjoy that is waiting for you. And if at Mandy’s, the salad is queen and can be declined in a lot of versions, they also offer delicious bowls ! The next time you will be thinking about something fresh, but still substantial to eat, you know where to go. On the menu, you will find: salads of all kinds, of course, but also bowls, good desserts, drinks, and some derivative products in the shops. À la Carte Express, a +20 years story !

Our start In the restaurant business of Montreal, we do not present him anymore, everybody knows him or heard about him. He is the fantastic founder of À la Carte Express since its creation in 1996, he is the great, the only one… Michel Lépine ! (you understood, Michel is my boss). It is indeed more than 20 years since this food lover had the idea to create his own company. Why ? - He wanted to be able to eat his favorites meals from his favorite restaurants while staying at home - and we all understand that ! Have you never had this little moment of weakness, this feeling of tiredness, the laziness of going out to eat good food ? You don’t know how to cook ? You don’t like to wash the dishes ? You want to share a good meal with your family and friends without having to cook for hours ? All these reasons led Michel to create À la Carte Express, and we thank him for that ! He was a true precursor in that domain, one of the first to do it in Montreal, allowing us to enjoy our free t

Is eating well at work the secret of happiness ?

It is fact: our diet changes many thing on the way we live, it is our fuel, that allow us to live and that give us the necessary energy for that. Our mental and physical faculties depend about what we eat, and many factors come in the balance: the moment we eat, how, which quantity, etc… We are going to focus on one point we know very well; the lunch at work, a very particular moment but a very important one. We spend most of our time on our work place. When it is time to lunch at work, about 40% of Canadian workers are eating on their desk, and 36% of the Quebecers are eating lunch alone in front of their computer. (Study runes by the Nova Scotia’s Dalhousie University (2017)). However, this is a very important moment in a worker day because it has a direct link on his productivity. In addition to what is on our plate, it is mainly the way we eat that will have consequences. Then, is it better to eat quickly at your desk to be productive, as most of the Quebecers do ? H
